Returning player needs advice - Guild Wars Forums

Hello everyone, I'm sure like a lot of people I have returned to get these hall of monument points.

I have a few questions hopefully you guys could help awnser

First of all Ive completed prophecies already but do not have the HoM yet. Will I still get whatever points I get from that when I do purchase the expansions?

Second, is the HoM account or character bound? Meaning can another one of my characters contribute to my miniatures/weapons whatever?

Thirdly, I play a Warrior and I look at my gear and skills/attributes and wonder to myself WTF was I thinking. I have a Thorgall's Stone Smasher and platemail armor. Is there anything you guys could tell me on how to gear/skill my warrior effectively for this 30 point quest of mine?

I have to get to work, any tips would be welcomed as I feel completely lost and ive been trying to soak in as much information as possible at this point

everything that you have earned that has a place in the HoM you can put it there when ever you want.
HoM is acount bound you can put your mini's or elite armors in HoM's of different characters.
as for insignia's and runes (i dont play warrior so not sure) but i think use sentinel insignia's and hp runes, and try to get your heroes as soon as possible they are rly helpfull.
also decide now how you gonna spend your gold to get the 30/50 unless you have a lot of gold then it doesnt matter.

I don't have much gold. 60k to my name so yeah. I have a lot of work ahead o me I think. I'm just not sure where to get started. I don't have any expansion atm I'll buy them all sometime this week. Are there any heroes available to me with just prophecies?

For advice on skilling/runing up your warrior, check out the Campfire forum here on guru. There is a stickied post in each subforum with tips on each profession. Also, you can post your build there and ask for advice on ways to improve it. You're not alone in having only one or two of the campaigns, I've seen others asking for build advice for single-campaigns

For heroes, unfortunately as far as I am aware there are none you can get by having only Prophecies. Although there are one or two Prophecies heroes, the quests to get them come from the other campaigns.

If you are strapped for pixel cash, there is a sticky at the beginning of this section of the forums as well with tips

Also...depending on when you stopped playing....did you pick up the 50 *free* Tournament Reward Points for your account? They are a one-time freebie introduced with the 2/19/2010 update. Simply map to the Great Temple of Balthazar and speak to High Priest Zhang. Then go speak to Tolkano (also located in GToB). You might have to "register" your account with him, but after that he should offer you a couple options to spend the TRP's on...use them to get 10 Zaishen Keys. If you don't plan on using them yourself for the Zaishen Title, sell them to other players. They usually sell for 5.5-6k each.

Check your account for r8 and r7 weapons. Ask for pc's if you find any and wait to sell.

Besides that, there are plenty of guides. Spend your time reading and playing so that you figure out the most efficient way to proceed.
